Week 10 – CRAZY!

This week. CRAZY!!

Monday – We went to the City Museum for Zone Pday. Coolest place ever!! If we ever come to St Louis as a family, we are going. That place is like the inside of someones brain exploded and came into existence. I love it!! Caves and tunnels and 10 story slides. And HUGE pencils. And the worlds biggest underwear. And rooms full of mirrors! So cool!

Tuesday – Sisters Conference! There were 53 sisters there – all of us in the mission. And  I got to see all of my Danish sisters again!!! That was so great :) Also, found out that everyone got their visas and are heading to Danmark today. Except me. So. Yup. I’m still here. Until…I don’t really know.

Wednesday – We went and blitzed the Elders area and actually found someone that lives in our area, so we’re teaching him tomorrow. He’s legit. And then went to dinner at a members home. AND HE SERVED IN DANMARK!!!! So, we got to talk in Danish. And I understood everything. So great!!! And he gave and ordboger – dictionary, and a engelsk/dansk ordboger to use. And a Hans Christen Anderson book in danish. And. Ok, basically Heavenly Father loves me. A lot.

Thursday – Great day!! So, one of our investigators that I’m super close with – John – said that he wants to get baptized!!!! So, he’s getting baptized on Saturday the 15th. And, let me just say, Heavenly Father knows and loves His children. Seriously. Once John said this, I asked him if he prayed or desired to have me at his baptism, and he’s like yeah, why? Yup. That is why I don’t have it yet. John. So, Saturday will be a good day!!

Friday – Appointments fell through and we tracted, bunches. And Got to teach. So, that was good.

Saturday – More appointments fell through, but we got to go visit people we haven’t seen in a couple of weeks. Lots of needed things there.

And Sunday – The craziest day ever for a missionary. Truly. I feel like we basically ran around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to get everything done for the baptism!! And the bishopric got changed yesterday, so everyone was like that. It was rather crazy!!

And today we are going to the Arch! So excited :)

Oh, and last night we had a lesson with a guy named Peter. And. Holy smokes, this kid is SO smart!!!! I don’t even understand half of what he says and he’s going at a million miles a minute!!!! Thankfully we had a member there that is just like him, so he could translate for us :) It was nuts.

But, I love being here! I love serving! I know that this definitely Heavenly Father’s work, not mine. He is definitely at the head of it, directing and guiding every single one of us! This is something I found in my studies this week. It meant a lot to me. It’s in Mosiah 26.

18 Yea, blessed is this people who are willing to bear my aname; for in my bname shall they be called; and they are mine. 20 Thou art my servant; and I covenant with thee that thou shalt have aeternal life; and thou shalt serve me and go forth in my name, and shalt gather together my sheep.

21 And he that will hear my voice shall be my asheep; and him shall ye receive into the church, and him will I also receive.

22 For behold, athis is my bchurch; whosoever is cbaptized shall be baptized unto repentance. And whomsoever ye receive shall dbelieve in my name; and him will I freelyeforgive.

This is exactly what we as missionaries are doing! Taking upon us His name, bearing it and going forth, to His people. Calling to them to receive eternal life and salvation. Helping them to be baptized and believe in HIm and be forgiven. And yes, as missionaries that is what we are doing, but missionary work is the most important work in the church (Joseph Smith said that). It’s what we should all be doing, taking upon us His name at baptism and ALWAYS helping others to receive that light and knowledge. I am SO grateful for that! And so grateful that Heavenly Father has promised to be with us every step of the way if we will simply obey His covenants and do what He asks us to do. I love Him :)

Thanks for all the letters everyone!! You’re the best!!!!!! I’m so grateful for each of you :)

Have a great week!!
