Uge 55 – Påske!

Ok, so the week was really good!

Best news in the world, Kristina is praying!!!!! :D Oh goodness! So we went over there last monday night for a family home evening and we were going to watch a movie, but Freja was not wanting to go to bed. So, that didn’t happen, but we did have enough time to talk about Christ and who He is and why He is so amazing, and what He means to her. But the really amazing part is this, we were sitting there with all the food on the table getting ready to eat, and we asked her who she wanted to say the prayer, and cute little Freja pops in and says me! me! So she does, and she says ”bede bede bede’ – it means pray in danish :D sooo cute! and we usually say one after that and Lasse was like, do you want me to say it? and Kristina pipes in and says no. I’m going to. I decided this morning that I was going to and I am. SO SHE DID!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And this is the girl that a month ago said she didn’t believe in God….ha! On the road to eternal salvation. YES!! It was just the most amazing thing in the world! I love so much being able to see people come to know who Heavenly Father is and how much He really does love them! It’s truly the most incredible experience in the whole world! I just feel soo blessed to have this kind of opportunity!

And…..I’m trying to think of other exciting things that happened this week…we went to Sønderborg on wednesday for Distrikt Meeting. That was fun. It was nice and warm down there! And very little wind, which was a way nice change from Esbjerg!

What else. Sunday was good!! We had a father of a family that was baptized in Decemeber come to church! Their car has been giving them serious amounts of issues, and they haven’t been able to. And the mom is pregnant and has been really sick. So she wasn’t able to come, but the dad did! So that was good! We also had a less active come with her boyfriend! EEK! Things are happeneing!! It’s soooo wonderful! And we had easter dinner with the bishop and his family – and they have 2 kids that I know from Odense that were there as well. So that was fun! We had duck and potatoes and veggies and sovs and ice cream :) and we are going to start working with the bishops family and studying preach my gospel with them! I’m soooo excited for that! Honestly, it’s the best thing in the whole world!

Oh yeah! And from yesterday. We were sitting in relief society and we had the lesson from the manual and it was number 8 I believe, but we started talking about how we are all different instruments. And how Heavenly Father needs each and every one of us. Just like how when we are cooking sometimes we need a knife, sometimes we need a wooden spoon, sometimes we need silverware. But we need them all, just at different times and for different purposes. And sometimes we have the really expensive, metal, fancy looking spoon, and sometimes we have the really cheap plastic one from the dollar store. But they serve the same purpose. And that’s what we are. Kitchen utensils! But seriously, we are all different, we serve different purposes, but we are all extremely valuable. And Heavenly Father needs each and every single one of us, whether we feel that we are super expensive and shiney, or we have been beat around for years in the dishwasher, and have cuts and scrapes and are a little dull….we are still valuable. He still needs us, and we still need to serve our purpose.

Oh and some other exciting news! We got transfer calls this morning and we are staying together! Next monday begins the new transfer! So that’s exciting.

And uhm. I think that’s it. It’s going to be a pretty chill week. No traveling this week. At least that we know of. Outside of the normal anyways….

But here’s something exciting, I didn’t have to wear tights today!!! or yesterday!!! it’s still chilly, but I didn’t HAVE to have them! Oh, it truly is the little things in life :)

Oh yeah!! And we got the elders easter eggs for easter and stuffed them full of feathers! And candy and stuff…but FULL of feathers! And watching them freak out over those was rather fun :) hahaha they didn’t really like the feathers. And they were pink. So that was extra funny ;)

And something else funny. We got lost somewhere on Jylland this week too! Still have no clue where we were at, or if we were even in our area….but we found our way! thanks to some sweet lady at a bed and breakfast type thing. She was great :) The trains out there only ran every other hour…..that was great. So, we had some fun :)

Basically, it’s been another fabulous week! I hope y’alls easters were wonderful! Mine sure was :) I’m sooo incredibely grateful for the opportunity I have had to study about, and celebrate the Saviors life and the most important events to ever happen in the history of the world. I know that He walked the earth so long ago, I know that He died, and I know that He over came the powers of death, and that because of that so can we. I know that He lives, and I know that He loves us, and that regardless of what we do, or what we don’t do, He loves us. And that love will never change. And for that I am so incredibly grateful! And I’m so grateful that I have the chance to be here, serving Him in His work.

Have a wonderful week! I love you!!

Mange Kærlighed,

Søster Rigby

Ps. If you’re not, you should study preach my gospel with the missionaries. It will change your life. Promise!
